The Occurrence series consisting of four paintings is based on analogue photographs that I have taken myself on 21st of January 2011during the protest held at the main boulevard in Tirana. The event that was held as a protest against corruption ended in a violent and tragic way with four civilians being shot by national guard. The series was developed on the occasion of the project Occurrence in present Tense shown at the Albanian pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale.
